Guitarist, performing musician, and teacher of classical and acoustic guitar. Born in the Siberian city of Ulan-Ude, he is a winner of the international “Virtuosos of the Guitar” competition (St. Petersburg, 2013) and the “Many Faces of the Guitar” competition (Moscow, 2014).Bulat graduated with honors from the Carinthian State Conservatory, studying under the internationally acclaimed guitar professor Marco Tamayo (majoring in Concert Guitar and Music Pedagogy). He also studied with Flamenco guitarist Grisha Goryachev and participated in masterclasses with guitarists such as Dmitry Illarionov, Andrew York, Joaquín Clerch, and Martha Masters.
Since 2015, he has been living in Austria, where he teaches classical guitar at BAfEP and the Viktring Music Gymnasium. He performs regularly in Austria and other European countries, actively contributing to the music scene.
Duo Nova
For many years, we have performed together with flutist Oleksandr Kornieiev on stages throughout Europe. Our long-term collaboration ensures a high musical quality at every performance.
Our focus is on classical music in two main styles: academic classical and modern interpretations. The classical repertoire includes pieces that reflect the elegance and brilliance of the classical era. Additionally, we present well-known pieces in contemporary arrangements, many of which we have adapted ourselves to create a fresh, unique sound.
This blend of tradition and our creative interpretations allows us to appeal to a wide range of audiences and create unforgettable musical experiences.
Slawinski & Budaev
The high-caliber duo with singer Ekaterina Slawinski was formed in 2016. The duo’s music program, featuring unique arrangements of popular hits from around the world for voice and guitar, is performed in concert halls across Europe and at private and official events.
Ekaterina Slavinskaya graduated from the National Conservatory in Kyiv. From 2015 to 2016, she studied at the Carinthian State Conservatory. For many years, she was a soloist with the President’s Orchestra of Ukraine and toured with Ukraine’s People’s Artist, Volodymyr Hryshko. Alongside her active performance career, Ekaterina is a sought-after vocal coach.
9 Strings
In 2017, the duo «9 Strings» was founded with Balalaika virtuoso Yuriy Shutov. The duo’s repertoire includes unique arrangements of popular pieces from various genres, eras, and cultures. The captivating performances by “9 Strings” feature music ranging from Schubert to the Beatles, and from Bach to rock hits.
Audiences of “9 Strings” have included high-ranking politicians, children in Austrian kindergartens, bikers in motorcycle clubs, Bavarian farmers, university professors, and many others. “9 Strings” leaves no listener unmoved.
allegRo ruBato
The duo “allegRo ruBato,” featuring the exceptional guitarist and composer Roman Smirnov from Canada/Israel, was founded in 2023. Since then, the two guitarists have performed numerous concerts in various European countries (Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Austria).
Their program includes original compositions by Roman Smirnov, as well as classical and Flamenco pieces in unique arrangements for two guitars.
